Sohail Sattar, Founder and CEO
Sohail Sattar, Founder and CEO of Radilent, has an exceptional background in telecommunications, engineering and executive management, offering nearly three decades’ experience. Prior to launching Radilent, Sattar founded VoicePlex Corporation in 1989, a network grade voicemail systems supplier servicing telephone companies. At VoicePlex, Sattar served as President, CTO and CEO, responsible for the concept, design and development of voicemail systems installed by mobile and landline operators inside their telephone exchanges. Also in this role, Sattar ensured that all systems underwent compliance testing and successfully passed the AT&T Bellcore standards for network equipment, frequently on their first pass. He built a successful partnership with AT&T to supply GTE (now Verizon) with some of their first voicemail systems across their central offices. Sattar designed the hardware and licensed the manufacturing rights to Hewlett Packard for volume production. The company’s systems were installed across the United States and abroad in countries including Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil and China.

In 1994, Sattar successfully executed the merger of VoicePlex with InterVoice, Inc. (NASDAQ: INTV), serving as Senior Vice President of Network Systems Division of the merged entity. Prior experience includes engineering and managerial functions for a startup venture later acquired by EDS, driving innovation with ATMs, banking, financial transaction and voice response systems. He served as AT&T consultant and GTE senior engineer.

Sattar holds a baccalaureate in Computer Science from the University of Memphis, Tennessee, where he also studied for his Masters. He holds seven U.S. patents within the telecommunications field.
