Allen D. Fleener, Director He’s held Board positions with several IT and telecommunications companies including VocalData, Inc., Peerless Systems, Inc., Voiceplex Corporation and Crossties Software Corporation. Fleener served as VocalData Inc. Director, an IP telephony software company recently acquired by Tekelec, Inc., Peerless Systems Inc. Director, a banking system software public company and Electronic Data Systems (EDS) spin-off, Voiceplex Corporation Chairman of the Board, an automated voice telephonic system software company acquired by InterVoice in 1994, and Crossties Software Corporation Chairman of the Board of Directors, a Windows-based software publisher focused on the groupware and information management marketplace. | From 1984 to1991, Fleener was President of InterVoice from start-up to IPO and beyond. In this role, he led the development, servicing and sale of interactive voice response systems for use with telephones, computers and other electronic devices. Prior to InterVoice, Fleener was Periphonics Corporation’s Vice President, an affiliate of Exxon Enterprises, and Informatics’ Vice President of Operations, a publicly held company providing software and data processing services to life and health insurance companies. Fleener received the Dallas-Fort Worth area Entrepreneur of the Year and is a former Director of the Entrepreneurial Institute of America. IBM chose Fleener for their Presidential Excellence Award, one of only four such awards nationwide. Fleener holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University, where he remains a member of the Board of Trustees. He earned his Masters of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis, where he also serves on the National Council and lectures continually on entrepreneurial topics. |
